Welcome to Ferndale!

Located in the northwest corner of Washington State on the Nooksack River, Ferndale was officially incorporated on March 19, 1907. Once called “Jam” because of its location next to a logjam on the river, the City was later renamed Ferndale by a school teacher who admired the ferns that grew around the original school house.

Today, Ferndale is a vibrant community of more than 13,000 residents, located on the Interstate 5 corridor, approximately 90 miles north of Seattle and 10 miles south of the Canadian Border.

In addition to its strategic business location, Ferndale has much to offer you and your employees. You can spend your weekend hiking through moss-covered forests with trees older than America, kayaking among the hundreds of islands dotting the Salish Sea, or skiing in fresh powder on Mt. Baker.

In the evening, enjoy live theater at the Mt. Baker Theater, view the latest independent film at the Pickford, or taste the newest creation of one of the area’s many microbrews.

If you need a larger urban fix, head to Vancouver, BC to explore Chinatown, bike through Stanley Park, or savor the seasons in one of its gorgeous botanical gardens.

If you’re looking for a place to call your forever home, let us help you relocate your business or start a new one, right here in beautiful Ferndale, Washington.
